Will drinking carrot juice help my skin?
My skin is dry, a bit congested and a little scarred. I really want glowing soft skin and am wondering if drinking an organic carrot juice first thing in the morning about 3 times a week would be helpful?
Has anyone had good experiences with carrot juice?
PLEASE DO NOT tell me about acai berries!!! >:(
I will report you.
Oh, I do drink lots of water. 2-3L each day!
I went through a phase of drinking a pint of freshly juiced vegetables (a mix of carrot, cucumber, celery, beetroot, parsnip and radish) for a few months and it did make my skin look a bit fresher. I only stopped doing it because I now share a house with other people who complain about the noise from the juicer. Mix the carrot with something bitter like celery otherwise the sweetness from the carrots means you’re just drinking too much of a hit of sugar, and do it every day not 3 times a week.

I hate those berry things. What the heck? but anyway, I just know that excessive carrot juice will turn you orange. Its better for say your eyes than skin. Water is really good for your skin if you drink the recommended 8 glasses a day. A good moisturizer may be all you need. scars are tough to overcome but try Miderma.

if you drink 2 much carrot juice your skin will seriously turn bright orange there is a natural chemical in carrots called carotine to much of that in your body will die your pigments and if your skin is dry i suggest using cocoa butter or a mousturiser with a bronzer in it to give your body the softness back and it will make it glow.

I won’t tell you anything about acai berries, lol
why not try other vegetables?fruits(citrus and anything you can eat with peel on)?fishes rich in oils.the anti oxidants in various vegetables takes away free radicals that causes cell damage(including skin cells). try adding variety to your fruit and veggie intake(not just carrots, other foods have other vitamins that a carrot do not have)-drink plenty of water and do 5minutes of sunbathing.
for the scars, try using Contractubex
I started eating them with the intention of loosing weight and I was surprised when it had a positive effect on my skin too.
good luck

Yes, carrot juice is good for your skin. It tones and refreshes, even from the inside. Though what you can do is apply carrot juice direct to your skin, it acts as an anti-inflammatory so it’s good applied direct to spots and acne. It’s also good for pigmentation and blemish problems so will help you with scars and colour.
EDIT Do NOT boil the carrots to apply them to the skin! You’ll end up removing the nutrients and ‘killing’ the carrots. They should be processed down into liquid, otherwise all the goodness ends up in the water and it’s not as efficient.
You won’t go orange if you drink/consume carrots either. There is a truth behind it, but you’d have to have a whole lot of carrots, way more than you want to. If people actually use this as a scare for them not to consume carrots and carrot juice then they really have lost the plot. You shouldn’t drink more than a 160ml glass of carrot juice at a time, this amount every other day certainly won’t turn you orange, it can only have a very slight but good effect on your colouring.

Carrots are full of Vitamin A – good for skin, and helps promote growth of T cells that fight invading flus, colds. etc. Combination shea butter, vitamin E, olive oil, mixed into a good moisturizing lotion might help externally – otherwise check with clinique counter or maybe over the counter oil of olay or neutrogena. Avoid drying soaps – Dial soft soap shea butter body wash is great – as soon as you pat dry put on lotion, repeat at end of day. For bad spots put on cream on lotion at night double thick – be careful of eyes. Maybe a dermatologist can answer this better!! cocunut cream also helps.

Most people don’t realize how much waste can be trapped inside our bodies. Experts estimate that most people have 10-15 of waste trapped to the inside of their colon walls. Imagine how unhealthy this is with all these toxins sitting inside us. Oprah had a guest on her show that talked about how we need to make sure that we clean our bodies of this rubbish.

Yes It will but it has to go in conjunction with other fruits. You can not drink it alone you should read into the Gerson therapy they teach you how to detox your body. I say drink plenty of water and juice organic fruits and vegetables the Gerson therapy teaches you to first grind the fruits and vegetables then use a juice press to extract the juice alone and this will allow your body to use all the nutrients up instead of having to digest everything. Its preety fascinating i mean if it defeats cancer than ACNE does not stand a chance.
